(OOC- You guys need to come up with a cool name for your base, like "Demolition Yard" or something cooler. Also, I'm going to assume that you've left your contact info with your previous employers--i.e. the Rifts NGR equivalent of an email address, which you are able to use through the brand-spanking new 40-ft antenna that appeared on your property yesterday morning in a puff of smoke. [See the updated Company Info thread/base post]) Two days have passed since you returned home and acquired your new base. Things are settling in nicely for you as you get dug in and repair the damage from the last jobs. As one of you (OOC-- probably Wolfram or Attis) checks the daily email to see about jobs, you find the following message. "I have been in contact with a friend of mine in your area, and he has informed me that you may be able to help solve a certain problem I have had of late. If you are interested, please respond to this message as soon as possible. -Walter Gorn"

Attis will sit down at the email and go, "Ooooohhh!". He'll open up the team channel, "Wolfram, there's a job offer in the email I'll start on the reply right away."
He'll start to type. "We are interested. Our interest would be much more piqued if we knew some details. It is standard procedure for us to meet in Berchtesgaden to discuss the details. Please respond with where and when you would like to meet." Attis will wait for about 15 minutes after starting the quick email response for anybody else in the team to talk to him over the radio or to come to the terminal and look at it themselves. At the end of that he'll get bored, send it out and start playing a great Pre-Rifts game of Dawn of War.

The radio crackles to life as Wolfram answers a few minutes later. And crackles is no euphamism...the reception's pretty bad.
"..id yo... ... ....thing abou.. . ..job? I'm ... .. new storage area fo.... heavy machi.... need a ....ing sig... ooster in here for the ...... adio. Go ah.... ... ...swer it"

As Mirya sits pondering what to call their now and future home, she hears Attis and Wolfram conversing. Deciding they have it well in hand, she "ponders" some more while laying down on the grass out in the sun....

((OOC-- As none of you have posted what you are doing since the last mission, I've put your characters in the places I needed/wanted them for this post))
It is raining outside and the midafternoon air is cool. The atmosphere lends a feeling of calm serenity to the team members. Attis is working in the hangar, finishing up the repair job on the Jager they got from the salvage operation; the new parts are in good working order, and it looks like the power armor will function as good as new. Max is somewhere around working in the area, helping to set the building up as their new workshop. Wolfram, Sasha, and Mirja are all inside the house organizing the office space and setting up the new furniture the team just acquired.
Work has been slow the past week, since they returned from the retrieval job that Walter Gorn offered them. Suddenly, Attis hears a calm male voice speaking from nearby behind him ((OOC-- Nobody had a perception roll, so nobody noticed him)), "I'm looking for Wolfram... You know where he's at?" There's a pause, then the voice continues "Actually, I probably should speak to the whole team."
If Attis turns around, or anybody else sees the person to whom the voice belongs, they will see a taller man-- about six feet in height-- with dark brown, jaw-length hair pulled back behind his ears, and dark green eyes. He is wearing what appears to be a brown leather long coat that comes down nearly to around his ankles, and is worn open in the front. He wears dark pants going down into tall boots and a plain, off-white, collared button-up shirt. A large warhammer is strapped across his back and a pistol holster can just be seen on his right thigh. His expression is thoughtful and he is regarding Attis with his head turned slightly as if he had just turned from looking out the open hangar door toward the house.

Bionic ears were a very useful part of Sasha's body - one that came into use as the new man started speaking to Attis. She had been kneeling next to a computer chair - putting in the last of the blasted screws - and sat there frozen as he spoke. When he stopped, she put in the last screw and quietly got to her feet, looking at Mirja and then Wolfram in the hope of making silent eye contact.
"We have a visitor," she mouthed to them and jerked her head toward the hangar.

Attis will jump a bit and hold a laser pistol on the man out of instinct. "You know it's traditional to knock, or better yet radio ahead, when entering the base of mercenaries. We tend to be well armed." Keeping a leery eye on the newcomer Attis radios the others, "We've got someone here who wants to see us. He's armed, but seems friendly enough."((OOC: I would have preferred to be bugged a bit more before having Attis NPCed... mind you did have him do what I would have him do so I don't mind that much. This has been a crazy week and this website is still not quite on my daily rotation of sites to check. Even if it were I wouldn't have had time to post until now anyway. I'll try to get a shopping and doing stuff post up. Essentially I'm going to want to fix the Jager, buy stuff to fix the Terrain Hopper. Buy stuff to help pimp out the vehicles a bit, and get a weapon or two for the Jager. Is it safe to assume that I can post that as if it happened before tall dark and warhammer wearing pants showed up or do I need to wait until next week. If so then are events essentially transpiring in real time or is time diluted? For the armor and stuff I'm not sure what money's you want spent on that or what rolls you want josh, let me know.))

OOC- Time is effectively diluted. Go ahead and post stuff you'd like to buy as if it had already happened.Okay, I want to add a battering ram to each rover at 50 SDC each. (Ben and I are looking up what else we can do to the vehicles and to see if the stats are stackable at all or not)
OOC- Give me 1 or 2 skill rolls for each item you want to work on (maybe 2 or 3 for the battering rams), note the skill you're using, and post it here as an in-character post when the group gets back to the base.
